A former Shawnee schools employee in Ohio charged with stealing more than $56,000.

Kimberly K. Hall, 54, served as a secretary at Shawnee Middle School before becoming facilities administrative assistant in 2016. She also was treasurer of the Shawnee Baseball Boosters Association. Her job responsibilities included collecting fees for school functions and depositing the money with the school treasurer’s office. The state auditor’s Public Integrity Assurance Team determined Hall used those positions to steal $34,400 from the school district and $21,798 from the booster group. Hall faces more than four years in prison and $15,000 in fines, but the judge said prison time is not mandatory in the case.
