Kelli Ridgway,41, was arrested Thursday in connection with the theft of funds from a John Diemer Elementary School PTA. Ridgway allegedly stole more than $1,500 but less than $25,000 from PTA. A Shawnee Mission School District spokesperson said the district learned of the theft and launched an investigation, which they then turned over to police. An investigation was launched in December 2017 with the Overland Park Police Department. More than $3,800 appeared to be missing from the 2016 Fall Book Fair and more than $500 appeared to be missing from the 2017 Run Club.  Ridgway was released on a $1,500 bond. She is awaiting her trial.
