Stacey Heather Grein, 45, of Camden, on Dec. 3 for pleading guilty to one count of breach of trust with fraudulent intent, value $10,000 or more. According to Pauling, Grein actually embezzled more than twice the amount of restitution ordered for MSC to receive. “The former deputy solicitor and defense lawyers came to an agreement that the amount was $128,000,” Pauling said. “The judge ordered the $60,000 to the school; Circuit Court Judge Clifton Newman sentenced Grein to 10 years in prison and ordered her to serve three of those 10 years with the balanced suspended upon five years of probation and the repayment of the $60,000 as restitution.
