Former Anderson County school bookkeeper in Tennessee charged with theft.

Kristi McIntosh, 42, was accused of failing to record deposited checks in the school’s accounting system and then taking out cash, according to court documents. An independent audit found more than $12,400 in school funds unaccounted for between July 1, 2012, and Feb. 14, 2017, according to the criminal complaint. McIntosh was charged with theft of more than $10,000 in March following a Kentucky State Police investigation, according to court documents. McIntosh pleaded guilty to a reduced theft by unlawful taking charge. Instead of a prison sentence, she will be on supervised probation for five years. She was fired from the high school in 2017 over dishonesty and insubordination.
